INVITATION TO BID

The Forsyth County Board of Commissioner’s will accept sealed bids until 2:00 p.m., Thursday August 5, 2010 for the following:

Furnishing of all Labor, Equipment, and Materials necessary to construct Trailhead Restrooms on the Big Creek Greenway, with adjacent ADA compliant parking spaces.

Contractors must be current with their Registration with the Georgia Secretary of State's office and have all required licensure.

The envelopes containing the Bids must be sealed, addressed to Board of Commissioners of Forsyth County, Georgia, delivered to the Forsyth County Purchasing Department, 118 Castleberry Road, Suite 13, Cumming, Georgia 30040, and designated as Bid No. 10-55-3150, with Company Name of firm submitting bid, in the lower left hand corner.  No bids will be accepted after 2:00 p.m., August 5, 2010.

Copies of the bidding documents may be obtained on or after July 7, 2010 from the Forsyth County Purchasing Department, 118 Castleberry Road, Suite 13, Cumming, GA 30040, Phone 770-888-8872 at a cost of forty-five dollars ($45.00), this is a non-refundable fee. Bid Bonds must be in the amount of not less than 5% of the base bid and must be submitted with each bid and a Consent of Surety form from a surety company licensed to conduct business in the State of Georgia.  Failure to supply bonds or to sign the bid will be grounds for rejection.  The successful bidder shall provide 100% performance and payment bonds at the signing of the contract along with appropriate insurance certificates.

No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening, thereof.

Award of bid will be made at a later date. Forsyth County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, and to make an award deemed in its best interest.  Bidders and the general public are invited to attend the bid opening, 2:05 p.m., Thursday August 5, 2010 at Forsyth County Purchasing Department, 118 Castleberry Road, Suite 13, Cumming, Georgia.
